Allegro Acoustics was commissioned by Elliott Dunn Architects to complete the planning noise assessment for a proposed Padel Club in Swords. A baseline environmental noise survey was undertaken at representative locations to establish the existing acoustic environment at the site and surrounding noise-sensitive receptors.
The survey data was used to develop a detailed environmental noise model of the proposed development. The modelling predicted noise from the operation of the padel courts at nearby noise-sensitive properties and assessed the proposed facility against the relevant environmental noise criteria. The assessment provided a basis for identifying appropriate acoustic mitigation measures where required.
The completed Noise Impact Assessment provided Elliott Dunn Architects and the wider project team with a robust technical assessment of noise from the proposed padel facility and the evidence required to support the development through the planning process.
