Mill Street Student Accommodation

Allegro Acoustics completed the acoustic design for the Mill Street 400-bed student accommodation development in central Dublin. The scheme includes bedrooms, study rooms, cinema rooms, an arcade, gym and enclosed courtyard. The design addressed Technical Guidance Document E - Sound together with the more demanding acoustic interfaces created by active amenity spaces located close to residential accommodation. Sound insulation, room acoustics and building-services noise were coordinated with the wider design to provide flexibility and occupant comfort throughout the development. The building was nominated for Student Accommodation of the Year at the 2019 Irish Building and Design Awards.
