John Paul Construction’s headquarters at the Termini Building in Sandyford required a high-quality acoustic environment to provide appropriate levels of speech privacy, acoustic comfort and building services noise control across offices, meeting rooms and collaborative working spaces.
Allegro Acoustics was commissioned by John Paul Construction to provide acoustic consultancy throughout the design and delivery of the fit-out. The acoustic design addressed internal sound insulation, meeting room privacy, reverberation control, room acoustics and mechanical services noise. Detailed acoustic performance criteria were developed for the different space types, with practical recommendations provided for partitions, doors, ceilings, sound-absorbing finishes and building services.
Working closely with the project team, Allegro Acoustics reviewed the developing design and contractor proposals to ensure that the proposed constructions, finishes and building services would achieve the required acoustic performance while remaining practical to implement during construction.
Following completion, Allegro Acoustics carried out acoustic testing to verify airborne sound insulation, reverberation and building services noise levels against the project design criteria. The acoustic consultancy provided continuity from design through to final performance verification, helping John Paul Construction deliver a comfortable headquarters with appropriate levels of speech privacy and acoustic performance.
