Allegro Acoustics has provided acoustic consultancy services to the site since 2014, delivering long-term technical support across both environmental and workplace noise.
Allegro Acoustics carries out the facility's annual Industrial Emissions Licence environmental noise monitoring in accordance with EPA Guidance Note NG4 and ISO 1996, together with occupational noise surveys and detailed workplace noise mapping completed in accordance with the Control of Noise at Work Regulations. The appointment has also included acoustic measurements of the site's fire alarm systems, SoundPLAN environmental noise modelling for proposed plant installations, and technical advice to support modifications and expansion projects. By combining environmental monitoring, workplace assessments and predictive acoustic modelling, Allegro Acoustics helps BioMarin understand the impact of operational changes before they are implemented and develop practical, cost-effective noise control solutions where required.
