Aurivo

Tubbercurry, County Sligo

Aurivo Consumer Foods operates a manufacturing facility in Tubbercurry, County Sligo. Following the replacement of an existing standby generator, specialist acoustic input was required to assess noise from the new installation and develop practical measures to control both environmental and workplace noise.

Allegro Acoustics completed a detailed noise assessment while the new generator was operational, with measurements undertaken at representative locations across the facility. The assessment considered noise emissions from the generator relative to nearby noise-sensitive properties and identified the existing generator-room door as a significant weakness in the acoustic enclosure.

Following the assessment, Allegro Acoustics developed targeted engineering noise-control measures for the generator room. Appropriately rated acoustic louvred doors were specified to provide the required noise reduction while maintaining the airflow necessary for ventilation and safe operation of the generator.

The assessment also considered occupational noise exposure around the generator and specified suitable hearing protection for personnel working within affected areas. The project provided Aurivo with a practical engineering solution addressing both environmental and occupational noise.
