24-26 City Quay is a high-quality commercial office development in Dublin 2 comprising approximately 6,000 m² of workspace, café facilities and an upper-level terrace. The project involved the extension and fit-out of the second to fifth floors, with the acoustic design required to support comfortable, flexible and high-performing workplace environments.
Allegro Acoustics provided comprehensive office acoustic consultancy services in collaboration with KMD Architecture, Urban Solutions and mac-interiors. The scope included 3D room-acoustic modelling, internal sound-insulation design, M&E noise assessment and attenuation design, planning support and the specification of acoustic materials and finishes. Acoustic modelling was used to assess the performance of key internal spaces and ensure that the selected finishes supported speech clarity, privacy and occupant comfort.
The completed acoustic design supported the delivery of a comfortable commercial environment while contributing towards the project’s targeted LEED acoustic performance credits. The coordinated acoustic design supported the required performance while maintaining the architectural intent, buildability and quality of the finished workplace.
