Allegro Acoustics builds predictive acoustic models that show how sound will behave before a decision is committed to. Environmental noise modelling, noise mapping and acoustic simulation let a design team test compliance, compare mitigation options and avoid the cost of discovering a noise problem after construction.
Modelling is where we differ most from a measurement led consultancy. A calibrated model lets us identify which source is actually driving an exceedance, rather than treating every item of plant as equally responsible. That usually means less mitigation, better targeted, at lower cost.
We build three dimensional environmental noise models in SoundPLAN, incorporating measured sound power data for individual plant, site topography, barriers and building geometry. The output is a noise map showing predicted levels at each sensitive receptor, tested against the relevant limit.
The same approach supports planning submissions, where a model demonstrates that a proposed development can operate within its noise conditions, and operational problem solving, where it shows exactly what a proposed barrier or enclosure will achieve before anyone commits to buying it.
