Alexion’s team were finding it difficult to communicate effectively in several meeting rooms and cleanrooms, particularly during video conferences. Excessive reverberation was reducing speech clarity and making larger meetings harder to manage, so Allegro Acoustics was brought in to assess the spaces and develop a practical solution.

Allegro completed acoustic measurements and developed detailed 3D room-acoustic models using ODEON ray-tracing software. The modelling informed the design, supply and installation of specialist acoustic finishes in the main boardroom, two cleanrooms and several smaller meeting rooms. The cleanroom solution required hygienic acoustic materials suitable for controlled environments, while the wider design focused on reducing reverberation and improving speech intelligibility. Installation works were carefully scheduled during evenings and weekends to minimise disruption within the live pharmaceutical facility.

Post-completion acoustic testing aligned closely with the modelled design values. The client reported noticeably clearer speech and improved communication during large meetings and video conferences, while the cleanroom treatments achieved the required acoustic performance without compromising hygiene or operational requirements.
