Allegro Acoustics carried out an in-depth noise control engineering program for this 150MW peat powered power station. This involved continual unmanned noise monitoring in the vicinity of the power station, noise source evaluation on site and the development of a 3D environmental noise model to represent the power station and surrounding area using SoundPLAN noise modelling software.

Allegro Acoustics subsequently concluded specific measures and operational changes at the power station to maximise noise attenuation of existing systems.
