In response to planning objections on noise grounds, Allegro Acoustics conducted a comprehensive noise impact assessment for a cutting-edge data center on a floating platform at Limerick Dock. The project received planning permission from An Bord Pleanála in September 2019.

Allegro Acoustics performed a detailed baseline noise survey using ISO1996. Subsequently, we developed a sophisticated 3D computational environmental noise model for the proposed development and determined that targeted mitigation measures are essential to meet planning limits concerning noise.

Notably, this innovative and energy-efficient water-cooled floating data center stands as one of the pioneering facilities in Europe.
