Hard Rock Hotel

Lord Edward Street, Dublin 2

Allegro Acoustics took on the Lead Acoustic Design consultant role for the much-anticipated Hard Rock Hotel, the first in the Republic of Ireland, designed to cater to music enthusiasts. After opening its doors to the public in late February 2020, the hotel has quickly become a hotspot in Temple Bar, offering a delightful experience with its restaurant, live music bar, and 120 guest bedrooms.

A focus on acoustic design ensured the hotel could host amplified and live music performances throughout its premises while maintaining top-notch sound isolation for the guest bedrooms. Notably, the project involved the sensitive renovation of the historic red brick Parliament Hotel building on Lord Edward Street, dating back to 1912, and enjoying conservation protection.

Furthermore, a new seven-floor structure on Copper Alley was seamlessly integrated, with both buildings connected via an elevated glass bridge. The hotel’s interior design was thoughtfully crafted to incorporate acoustic elements, giving it a distinctive style that will appeal to music-loving tourists.
